Success Stories

 Jason Meany

I am a Licensed Building Contractor (QBCC #73651)based on the Gold Coast and I carry out my business over the south east corner of Queensland and Northern NSW. Back in 2004 with the assistance with the training and assessment of Keystone Training I completed my Certificate IV in Building and Construction, which I used to gain my Builder Low Rise License. Now 6 years on, I have completed my Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) again with the assistance of Keystone Training to reach the next level in my business which is the gaining of my Builder Medium Rise License.

I came back to Keystone Training for my own training, have put my own staff through training and I do not hesitate to point other building colleagues on to Keystone Training.

I would recommend the FAST TRACK method of gaining your qualification as you only have to be trained in what you do not know and you don’t waste time sitting in a classroom covering information you have knowledge in, doing assignments and tests in the full qualification, only in areas which you do not know. This takes up less time which is essential when a busy builder.

In my busy business (like many other builders I know) I did not have time to spend endless hours in a classroom sitting through classes covering topics that I already know. For my further qualification assessment, I will find it a breath of fresh air to work on-line and where needed be able to drop in unannounced at a time to suit me and be to Tutored through an Assessment question by qualified and experienced Trainers. No set class times so I will be able to work to suit my Business peaks and troughs.

 Shadi Abraham

Hi my name is Shadi Abraham.

Some of you may know of me as my wife Veronica and I won the 2010 series of the REALITY cooking show “My Kitchen Rules”. Since our success in My Kitchen Rules we have opened our own restaurant “Ave Cucina & Cafe in Eva Street Coorparoo.

Before “My Kitchen Rules” I had a successful Contract Carpentry Business “Artimus Carpentry”, but was continually being asked to quote on projects that were out of my Licence class Scope of Work. These projects came under the “Builder Low Rise” licence and therefore I required the qualification – Certificate IV of Building and Construction to gain this licence.

As a result I researched a number of Training Organisations for flexibility to suit my busy time constraints. I was wanting minimal set classes, able to work to suit my own pace, ready access to help whenever I required it. I realised that this was a very tall order but I received a recommendation from a building friend who had just experienced totally what I was after in training for my Certificate IV in Building. This research and recommendation led me to Keystone Training.

I completed my Certificate IV in Building and Construction by using a Fast Track method which combines Recognition of Prior Learning and Gap Training.

This saved me travelling (time and petrol) to and from classrooms three nights per week for 2 years and I gained my qualification and my licence much quicker which gave me more time with my wife and time to work in our new restaurant.

I have recommended Keystone Training to many of my friends and I would highly recommend Keystone Training to anyone reading this Testimonial.

I would like to wish all reading this every success in their Building and Construction career and/or business.

Shadi
